Yes, I also tried that one but it did not work at all, like you say. I have tried several different ones, but this WooCommerce one (the $29 one) seems to hold the most hope.
Hi Lukischlucki,
I’m referring to the $29 plugin sold by WooCommerce. Is that the one you are talking about? If you purchase that plugin, install it, and then put the css code in your child css file, it moves the Quick View button to just above the popup. That’s what I’m talking about. Here is a screenshot.Hi again, Lukischlucki,
Sadly, the suggestion given to make this plugin work did not work. I’m not sure what to do at this point. If you decide to give it a try anyway, the css that makes it appear in the correct place (above the “add to shopping bag” popup instead of on top of it) is
.quick-view-button.button{
top: -36px;
}The part I’m stuck on is the fact that it only works if you click in the exact lower right corner of the quick view button, and I mean exact. Otherwise, nothing happens. I feel like it is so close to working, but I’m not sure what to try next, as my coding skills are not that strong. Do let me know if you try it and figure it out! I would be so grateful.
I am not clear on what you are saying but I made the change and it didn’t work. But thanks for trying. I really think Neighborhood should have a quick view option. It’s such an important feature for e-commerce. I hope they do eventually.

I had already tried the second one you mention, and it did not work at all for me, either.I have also tried this one: http://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-quickview/4378284 but it also doesn’t work with Neighborhood.
So far, I think the WooThemes one has the most hope. I’ll keep you posted! 🙂 Maybe this will help other people out there who have Neighborhood and want a quick view feature. (I really think it would be a great addition to the theme. Hopefully, Swiftideas will do that at some point.)
Hi Lukischlucki,
I’ve tried a handful of these Quickview plugins without much luck. I agree that it’s a really important feature in an e-commerce site.I’m getting close with the WooCommerce one, which is $29.

I contacted WooCommerce and they have a 30-day money back guarantee, so if it doesn’t work you can get your money back.
So far, with Laranz’ help, I have the icon showing in the correct position now. The problem I’m still having is that you have to click exactly in the lower right corner of the button or it won’t work. I assume it’s a simple matter of some css so I have a request in for help. I will let you know as soon as I find out if this really and truly works! I’ll also share the code. 🙂 Cross your fingers.
Laranz,
I have one more clue after spending more time trying to figure this out. If you click exactly in the lower right hand corner of the quick view box, you can actually get it to open. So there is something about the positioning of the area you need to click that is still off.Any ideas about this? Thanks, again.
The search feature is way better. Thank you.
Hi Laranz,
Thanks for the css. I’m close! The quick view button shows perfectly now, but it doesn’t actually work when you click it. Is there something that interferes with it in the theme, or am I in the realm of the plugin not working now? Not sure what to do at this point.(I sure appreciate your help and I’ll be more than happy to share this with the above mentioned person!)
This reply has been marked as private.Thanks, blahzilla. But I’m still confused about how I go about modifying it, in the sense of changing the sidebar, adding an image, etc. I want to use the page builder if possible.
Can I do that?
I would like to request that as a feature in a future update then. If you look at the research, having a quick view feature in an e-commerce website generates more sales than forcing a shopper to click open a page for each and every product. Here is one of many articles on the subject:
http://www.practicalecommerce.com/articles/3310-Using-Quick-Views-to-Increase-Conversions
I never dreamed this theme would prevent this type of plugin from working or I would not have purchased it in the first place.
Is there a process for feature requests? I would like to find out if this is something you would put on your list or not. Thank you.
September 3, 2013 at 3:52 pm in reply to: wierd problem – multiple product enlargement images #19607You were 100% correct. Sorry to bother you with such a dumb thing! Duh.
I tried. The developer is no longer supporting this product. I happened to have his email address because when I purchased it he WAS supporting it. But he never replied to me.
So once again. Can you either help me with the one I have, or can you recommend one that you know works with Neighborhood please?
