Yes, I love the theme, too, and the support staff is super nice. But I have had my share of wierd things happen. So many things, in fact, that I finally created 2 test sites for the purpose of updating Neighborhood (and Woocommerce – haha) before doing it on my live site. That has saved some heartache. LOL.

And you are right. Waiting can be a very smart thing to do!

Gee, thanks for finding this, @flobaby! I’ve been going crazy trying to figure out why my site completely disappeared upon update.

Nearly every Neighborhood theme update brings – shall we say – adventures. (Last update my “product quick view” quit working. Feels like there’s always something.)

Thank you for the code. It does fix the problem on the website, but the mobile version is not good now. The arrows are far enough off to the side that you can’t tell what they are. See screenshot.

That worked, but here I go down that rat hole of having to add custom code to get this theme to work properly. I don’t get that. But thank you.

Also, I didn’t notice this the first time around, but the arrow on the right also overlaps the posts. See screenshot.

Wow! You got it to work!

I tried fiddling around with the post meta, too, but I couldn’t get anything to work. That is a new version of the image that I uploaded (the old one would not work, even though it was sitting on the server). But I couldn’t get the new image to show as the featured image either. Somehow you did. Thank you! I wish I knew what the problem was.

No, I have not migrated the site, nor did I recently add https. Nothing is new. The only thing I did was update the theme to 3.16, but the product carousel looked funky with too much space below it so I loaded 3.15 again until you added a fix (3.17).

Thanks so much for working with this. I wish I understood what happened, but I’m very happy it’s working now.

(Sorry about FTP. I have no idea why it said those details were wrong.)

Yes, I have. That makes no difference.

As for updating the theme, I am not going to update until this issue is fixed, as the problem affected my site, too:

A lot of spacing after the products carousels after update to 3.16

    🙁

That’s what I was asking up above – if I should simply use short code to accomplish this like you did in your example.

The only reason I was confused at all is because the Swift editor allows you to place elements side by side within the accordion. This leads one to believe it’s going to work, only it does not. The Swift editor should not even allow that configuration, rather, your documentation should say you must use shortcode to get columns.

I’ve said this before, but if your documentation was more thorough, I believe you would have less work in your support forum answering silly questions like this.

But thanks for answering the silly question!

    Hi David,
Yes, I did. It appears to have fixed the problem, but like Westcoastsurf above, I see the same error message using the developer tools. See screenshot.

    Hi again,

I appreciate your help, but there are still problems.

The code did fix the problem in the first accordion section but it messed up the second one, which now only takes up 1/2 the page, which is not what I want.

Maybe I should just use short codes to create 2 columns within one text block. But why doesn’t this work without a fix?

I don’t understand why I should need any custom code to make this work in the first place, since it should already work. Can you please explain that to me? Is it my fault?

Second, the font code had no effect. And since the font weight I actually want is 300, not 15px (which seems like it should be a size, not a weight), I tried that, too, and it had no effect either.

Actually, the entire page has the wrong font weight. 🙁
