Thanks David!
Found it thank you. I also found that my front page SEO title had been changed to Swift Support.. and that Swift Support was showing up on the browser tab when I looked at my site’s home page – I have changed it back to my own SEO title.
Cartblanche1 is correct. The last 4 updates have been simple clicks from the dashboard. I have never had to use FTP or upload the zipped file since I started using Atelier half a year ago. I really would love to see this come back for us non tech people.. I have a good eye for design but I suck at tech 😉
Kyle, i feel like i’ve reached my learning curve on this particular support issue 🙂 if we can do this in a step by step with clear instructions i feel confident enough to do it. so.. step one download the new update. done.
step 2 is either upload it in the dash board area or use the FTP server to upload, yes? if i use the dashboard i think thats easier as i have no idea what to do with the file once i’m in to the FTP – i never use that to be honest. so if i upload to dashboard, it will strip out the CSS code i’ve added to the ‘theme options > custom CSS/JS’ area right? and i’ve been told to create a child theme which I did so it will strip that out? (this is the part i’m unclear on as last time i updated a support person said no it wont, and this time someone said yes it will). If i activate the new update, does it strip out the custom css or does that stay as its in the theme area and not in a php file? the child theme not sure what is different about it compared to the original, but not much more than a few lines of code to fix something that might actually be fixed in this update.
let me know about this part and then i can actually do what i need to, and upload and then go from there. thanks.
I do not have “Admin -> Edit Home Page -> Scroll Down to get Yoast SEO box” I dont have ‘edit home page’ in the admin section of my dashboard. This is NOT working. every suggestion you have given me – there is no such category in my dashboard to try. please ask another support person to look at this as it is not being resolved.
This reply has been marked as private.got it thanks! tested 4 images and its showing up, will play with it in the morning. marking as resolved.
This reply has been marked as private.okay so i added ‘galleries’ and ‘gallery’ to the page builder, set both for lookbook (yes i have a gallery called lookbook with images in it) and the widget’s titles are showing up but not the grid or masonry display.
i’m sure its due to a setting i’m not checking a box for in the gallery/galleries content element… which one should i use? gallery? galleries? and what might the issue be of the images not showing on the page? thanks.
Rui, i honestly cant remember what i was trying to do with this 🙂 so i will mark it resolved and if i run into a problem later on will open a new support ticket. thanks.
Hi Rui, there is nothing in my entire theme back end that will lead me to an update of the Atelier theme.. its not in updates, its not in plugins, its not anywhere.. the only reason i know there is an update is i just got another email tonight saying that there is one. really wish to get this sorted out.. and have hit my learning curve :p
somehow this is being lost in translation. Is there someone else that can take a look at this thread and sort it out?
There is no ‘admin>appearance>color customizer’
i have admin>appearance>customize.. from there i have a bunch of color customize choices none of which allow me to change the text of this area. The only places that allow me to change the text on this area as i said further back in my thread, are the wordpress > settings> general OR appearance > customize> site identity. Both of which i have changed to the text i wish to see, but is not showing up on my site’s front end.
hi Kyle. I found an email from Envato about the visual composer being conpromised with instructions on logging into code canyon to update – but as i said, i dont have access to code canyon directly, as the plugin came with the atelier theme – so i am at a loss how to update this portion.
the atelier update I can probably figure out how to do that if i google it – perhaps that alone will update the visual composer? its a bit of an issue because I have a child theme! I was told last time, that the update would not change my added css code in my child theme, but then now i’m being told it will and that i need to save all that code and transfer it over to the new updated theme so i’m totally confused. I havent added code to the php files, only the theme CSS.
yes that is correct. my site has its own domain name but it is hosted as a subdomain hence the url being different once you surf around a bit.. the domain name i gave you will still get you there.
the tag line you are looking at is the one i wish to ask about and change.. i cant find where to change the text other than the two places I mentioned a few posts back — which i have done but on the front of the site it wont change. Hence my support ticket.
I dont understand how my site can be offline when i have access to it? even to the point of being able to add items to my cart? I’m also able to update items in the back end as admin. are you sure you have the correct URL?
