Hi David,
The “General Options => Performance Options => Load pre-minified scripts => Off” did the trick. I guess now it is possible for you to narrow down the problem and fix it in a theme update. We are happy for now.
Thanks for helping.
This reply has been marked as private. The problem is in the translate3d() option on the flex-slider. The first parameter gets a negative while it should have a positive.
Unfortunately this didn’t work. Still have the same problem.
I hope your developer can come up with a solution.Hi David,
Thanks! Before I download the files: What was the problem? Is it going to be in a future update? Can you explain a little bit more.
Overwrite custom theme files? Why? Please explain a little bit more. Our custom theme files are custom, because we wanted to customize. If we overwrite them, all our changes will be for nothing right?
Hi David,
Could you please update us about the status of the situation? Are you investigating? Did you find anything that could cause this problem? Are you planning a theme update that resolves the problem?
Status for us:
We have a live site in which the problem exists.
We have a copy of the live site for development purposes on the same server and the problem does not exist.
It’s not a browser problem.
It’s not a server problem.I think it has something to do with jQuery and caching.
I hope this helps and that you have a solution on a short notice.
I also use Mac + Chrome and I have the following experience:
website infushka posted: wrong way
demo shop: right way
monkshop: wrong way
development monkshop: right way (exact copy of the live site)Could it be a jQuery or javascript cache problem? Are you getting somewhere in your research?
Hi David,
Thanks for your reply. Do you mean you want some login details for the page mentioned in the first post? We are not very keen on giving a login (gave us troubles the other day). We will do that if it is really necessary.
Do you have any idea where this problem comes from? Did you ever see something like this before?
Thanks.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply, but this doesn’t help much. Let me try and explain again, and hopefully you can come with a solution.
Due to code changes you made we cannot update the Cardinal theme to version 2.33, because our custom CSS needs to be rewritten. It is a lot of work to find all changes you made, which costs me a lot of developers money. It is a theme we bought and if you make changes that effect the looks of our website (without announcements), to me it seems fair you fix those problems for us. So, can you rewrite our custom CSS files so we can keep updating to future versions of Cardinal?
Thanks in advance for your help. Please reply so we can give you the login of our development site.
Cheers,
DirkHi there,
It’s been another week and still heard nothing. This is a big issue for us. You changed code without notifying it and for that we cannot stay updated in the future. Please give us a solution, thanks in advance. See my former posts to check the issues. Hope you can help soon!
cheers,
DirkHi,
We are upgrading from 2.32 to 2.33.What you are saying is a lot of work, says my developer (= costs for me). He has to check all html tags and compare them with the CSS. Can you point out exactly where/what changes are made, so it will take us less time.
Hope you can help!
Cheers,
DirkHi there,
This problem is still here. Can somebody look into it please? I found out it works fine on the mobile site and on safari desktop, so the issue is browser related (chrome). Maybe this helpes to fix it??Cheers,
DirkPlease, any news?
Cheers, DirkHi,
Any news on what’s wrong?
It used to work fine, but this is pretty annoying for customers.
Hope you can fix it!
