January 26, 2015 at 4:31 pm in reply to: Neighborhood 2.05 (and 2.0) update seems "zoomed in" #144401That was it! Thank you, Rui!!
🙂(I hope this MCombine doesn’t continue to cause problems on future upgrades.)
January 23, 2015 at 8:39 pm in reply to: Neighborhood 2.05 (and 2.0) update seems "zoomed in" #144003As I mentioned above, I had already done this.
But I went ahead and did it again, just for fun, and it still doesn’t work. 🙁
Now what?
Thank you!

I never did get this test site to work no matter what I did. I went into combine and deleted the entire cache, plus the browser cache, and it is still zoomed in for me in 3 different browsers. (Although the letter spacing is no longer 2.)
But I created another test site and played around with it and got it to work ok with the new theme.
I really appreciate you digging around for me so much! I will never know exactly what the problem was but I think I’m all good now. (And you gave me some things to check next time if I have more problems.)
I’m going to go ahead and update my real site now. 🙂
Sorry for the troubles!!!
January 21, 2015 at 6:45 pm in reply to: Neighborhood 2.05 (and 2.0) update seems "zoomed in" #143188I don’t think that is possible, because, first of all, it was commented out. Second, I had used the exact same code for the entire child CSS as I did in the production site. I had even copied and pasted the whole thing in to be sure. And I checked, and that same bit of code is in the production site. However, I went ahead and removed it to be sure, and it changed nothing.
If you look at the other parts of the site, for example the slider, you can see that the entire thing seems zoomed in and slightly fuzzy.

I had the names backwards. The two on the top of the stack are named correctly. The lady in the red hat is the “good” original version. The other one is the updated theme that looks zoomed in.
December 8, 2014 at 5:29 pm in reply to: update – changed aspect ratio of my logo / vertical padding in menu too small #134368Thanks for all the help. I think I’m going to start from scratch and re-do the logo(s). I’m spending too much time trying to figure this out. (It’s not the cache. I wish it were.)
Maybe this update exposed a problem on my end. Who knows.
December 5, 2014 at 4:07 pm in reply to: update – changed aspect ratio of my logo / vertical padding in menu too small #133848Well, I do have a child theme, but I scoured my child css file and don’t think I have anything in there that might affect those particular things.
I’m fairly sure, anyway.
I can’t update my working site until I understand what the problem is. 🙁
Thanks. That darn cache. It’s always tripping me up. LOL.
December 4, 2014 at 4:52 pm in reply to: update – changed aspect ratio of my logo / vertical padding in menu too small #133530I see the new options, but I’m having trouble making it look right. If I give the exact dimensions of the logo (width = 346, height = 58), the aspect ratio is still not quite right, although not as bad as before. I have played around with adding various values for the logo padding, and nothing seems to change at all.
Not only that, the main menu padding is still smaller than before, which looked cramped to me, and I can’t see an option to fix that.
Can you give me some specifics, please? Is there any documentation that shows all of the changes in this update?
Thanks! 🙂
Wow. That is very weird. I just brought the site up again and the Pinterest icons are gone. Completely.
Can you tell me if they are supposed to be there? Was that a fluke? That is so strange!
Yes, that did it! Now why didn’t I think of that!!! Thanks so much.
