Done – workaround….not ideal. Google support is tough to access – it looks like something is awry with the API – can you log a support request with the big G?
Thanks,
J
Sure Ed on http://www.authentic-representation.com/portfolio/madi-a-thavha-mountain-lodge/ my Google address is Madi a Thavha Mountain Lodge South Africa
THe google pin works perfectly when you click on it – except it’s hanging out in the big blue…
Here’s the Google URL from the pin https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Madi+a+Thavha+Mountain+Lodge+south+africa
There’s a few other portfolio entries suffering a similar glitch. It doesn’t seem to picking up the afrigis maps feed on the displayed layer.

Hi Sarah – It depends what the customisation is. This is an issue we’ve raised with supporta while ago – you can use a child theme – and they’ve included one in the latest theme updates files.
Until the child theme works correctly, it’s a manual job 🙁
Make a note of the customisations, update then reapply – not ideal.
See http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/wordpress-child-theme-pros-cons/ for pros and cons.

JHi Sarah, has this resolved after updating the theme on your website?
-J
Thank you Dave for the nice compliment. Ed, I think you guys do offer good customer service, but to date only 1 of the 4 issues I’ve asked for help on has been fully resolved.
In terms of the map – as said one of my portfolio items is correctly picking up the maps afriGIS data and is displaying correctly – http://www.authentic-representation.com/portfolio/kololo-game-reserve/
The remainder are displaying a pin out in the Atlantic. New Google Map modules added in pagebuilder do not resolve this. It’s not a cache issue (all cleared and tested). It’s not a plug-in issue and I doubt it’s a server issue (as other users have reported this).
It may be a Google API issue – but if so that’s beyond my capability to resolve – please take a look at our website as it doesn’t make logical sense why maps are ok on one page and not others.
Thanks,
J
Hi, sorry this didn’t work for me! Theme updated but Google Maps still broken….Only one of the maps is displaying correctly – http://www.authentic-representation.com/portfolio/kololo-game-reserve/
Hi
Just following your instructions – copied and pasted code as directed…

July 1, 2013 at 1:38 pm in reply to: Remove whitespace between main menu bar and top of revolution slider #9722Emm… added the class to the rev slider and style.css file, cleared browser cache – it’s not working 🙁
Also agree with Dave’s comment – non techies will be stressing at this ‘fix’ Are you able to put this into a theme update asap. Maps functionality is very important for any website.
I’ve just made these changes to funtions.php and the theme CSS in general settings. They are not working. Please investigate again?

Hi Guys,
I’ve posted this issue as a new item by mistake. Please delete my other post – sorry.
July 1, 2013 at 10:10 am in reply to: Remove whitespace between main menu bar and top of revolution slider #9687Thanks – That’s removed nearly all the whitespace, but there is around 30px left. There is no other item above the Revolution Slider. There is no HTML code above the Revolution Slider.
Any thoughts?

June 27, 2013 at 6:34 pm in reply to: Remove whitespace between main menu bar and top of revolution slider #9390Cosmin, Thanks – no it doesn’t work on that page – but I would want to apply it to every property in our portfolio…
The theme has a checkbox performing similar functionality on WP pages – might it be easier to add this in the framework?
Would appreciate a fix to this – even if it’s in a forthcoming theme tweak.

June 26, 2013 at 1:50 pm in reply to: Remove whitespace between main menu bar and top of revolution slider #9298Hi Ben,
Can confirm the CSS is there – see attached. This is achievable on a page with a provided checkbox and works perfectly – it puts the rev slider directly under the nav. The CSS fix doesn’t work – can you implement this into the theme itself on the portfolio item with a checkbox and upgrade the theme?
If I didn’t want to use the portfolio carousel it wouldn’t be such an issue – I could just use pages, but this defeats the whole purpose of the portfolio functionality.
Having a big chunk of whitespace above the fold like this is a waste of screen real estate! It looks daft.
J
Thanks – having this set-up would be a big + for your template.
