Version update full width problem

I believe the customizations on the portfolio were solely around which social networks showed up on the social share bar and also removing the portfolio advance arrows.

On the blog, once again customization was around which social networks showed up on sharing buttons.

Yes – but if the files are old versions of the structure of the page, the new file will be ignored, which is why you are seeing issues. You will need to copy your changes to the new version of the files.

Things seem to be resolving now, one of the main issues is that alt-bg has been changed to asset-bg, so once I did a find and replace that fixed some of the obvious issues.

However I’m having trouble now when I change this page (http://www.globaltanks.com.au/?page_id=577) – the picture at the very bottom of the page should sit on the right of the text, but it has somehow managed to be wrapped in a section tag without the text, and whenever I change the code and update, all of the content then gets deleted.

Looks like a HTML issue (closed tag when one not open) – why don’t you have the columns in the page builder, within a row instead of using the shortcode?

But I’m trying to fix the code, every time I try to change something and update, everything just gets deleted.

Are you changing code in the page builder, or just using the standard content editor?

I’ve tried both – if I save something using the page builder it updates and then when it refreshes there’s nothing there, and if I switch to the classic editor everything instantly deletes.

Have sorted the page for you, I just copied from revisions. If you want to write HTML, then you need to do it within the page builder Raw HTML asset – you can’t swap between the page builder and content editor with that code as the page builder will strip code it doesn’t recognise.

You can now copy the code into the validator and find any issues.

seems to be working now with the last update .3 Please check your theme updates properly before releasing them. You guys have been great apart from this, but i have wasted hours over the mess of this update, and i still have some issues with all of my widgets now being wrong / missing as a result of rolling back to an earlier version, so I need to waste even more time now sorting it out. anyway, happy this full width issue is at least solved.
