Hello all. I had this same problem and I almost have it solved.

To import the slider data into the Revolution slider, you need to first “create” a new slider with Revolution. To do this you only need to enter a slider Title and Alias which can both be the same if you wish. In the case of the demo slide, I used homesliderthin for both. When you do the create, you will find at the bottom of the create screen an import/export button which works as normal. It is undocumented by the Revolution Slider folks and by Swiftpsd and it doesn’t appear until AFTER you have created a Slider name in your screen, so it’s tough to guess it’s there – but it is. Then just import the file homesliderthin.txt from the demo content.

I still cannot get the text on the complicated slider to be in the right font, color, size, etc. but it does show so I’m pretty close.

Note that this only creates one of about six or seven sliders. There is no help for the others, so we are left on our own there.

Good luck.

Cosmin,

Thanks. The Import / Export does not appear until after the attempt to create a slider by giving a title and alias. Undocumented by Themepunch and by Swiftpsd.

If this question has come up before, you might want to add it to the Demo Content section of your documentation. If not, then it’s just me.

Thanks for your response to the question. I tried to upload the file homesliderthin.txt through the import/export plugin used to upload the samples for your sample data which was successful. homesliderthin.txt did not upload. Other than that I cannot find an import tool in either the Revolution Slider panel, the Revolution Slider documentation, or the Pinpoint documentation.

Is the Import/Export area of the Revolution Slider similar to the Import/Export area of the Pinpoint Theme Options? There does not seem to be a similar sidebar menu for the Revolution Slider.

Am I missing the mechanism for importing that .txt file in? Does it import via the Pinpoint Theme Options? Are there instructions in either your documentation or Revolution Slider documentation for importing this?

Thanks,
George

Also, in the page with the font-awesome information (fonts-and-icons), the following appears:

Find out more about using icons in Pinpoint

Which suggests that something is missing… a link to more information “about using icons in Pinpoint”, perhaps?

Inquiring minds want to know.

It has become obvious that I have some bone-headed mistake. There are five additional Revolution sliders that are missing. They are:

• sazzislider
• sazzislider2
• editorial_breaking_news
• editorial_main_feature
• impactslider4

I suspect there are others.

Cheers,
