    I got some fallback functions added to the theme option in case the permissions weren’t there (like in your case) – so that it would work no matter what.

    Yes – the fixed files will be included in the updated builds.

    I would recommend you getting the permissions issue looked at, just so that you can ensure you can update easily.

    I don’t understand though everything was chmod to 777 and given all permissions.

    But I will look into it.

    Yeah it is confusing, but CHMOD sometimes doesn’t matter, as WordPress needs the same permissions as the owner, and the screenshot I linked you to earlier should have the same group/owner.

    Your host should be able to easily sort this!
