i can not reproduce the speed on ipad you mentioned. I try to install the latest update of IOS7, to see if there is a difference in speed.

The group/owner should be the same. Is this something you can check with your host?

As an example of proving that permissions aren’t correct, you’ll see here when in Appearance > Editor, where a save button would appear with correctly set permissions: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lwqli9hfertvgpj/Screenshot%202014-07-11%2011.29.07.png

We’ll keep looking to see if there is anything we could do, but as I said before it’s definitely permissions that are causing all these issues.
