Website is slow

Hi there,

For some reason it takes like 40 secs to load the homepage of my website. I have no cache plugin installed. Do I need to increase my WP memory?

Also, viewing the personal one demo on an iphone the headline content and button is half hidden. After, switching from landscape to portrait then it corrects itself.

Hi Nigel,

I can’t even get your homepage to load. It is likely your PHP memory, can you ask your host to increase this? It’s always better to have a little extra, as slider plugins such as Revslider are particularly resource hungry.

Your site is stuck loading at the hosting for 40 seconds before the theme even starts to load. This is definitely an issue you need them to look into – or I’d strongly suggest you to move hosting!

I believe there’s something with the theme because I’ve used other themes and it loads without problems.

I am having the same issues.. I have a great hosting provider. I have
define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’96M’);

Still takes forever to load the pages.

Also, the wordpress admin works fast and smooth but when I click the cardinal theme options it takes just as long as the website

My load time is 20.70s. Its lags on the URL, not on any of the resources. I turn off the theme and it takes 178 ms.

Something is wrong here.

Hey guys,

Trying to look into this for you. Found nothing evident as of yet.

I can understand it’s frustrating, however if it was a theme issue, it would be something that everyone would experience. I know that Twenty Fourteen works – but you can’t really compare the two, as that is as basic as it gets with themes.

Can you ask your hosts if they can see anything in the server logs?

Well i’ve tried other premium themes (ex. hypershot and invictus themes) and not the default wordpress themes. They were running on the same server without problems.

I will see if I can get you a server log.

If no luck, drop me an email via: http://themeforest.net/user/swiftideas . This looks to be an issue with your server permissions & the theme options not being able to function properly because of that.
