Hi Cosmin,
I’ve no problem with human error – I just have a major problem with the rudeness and service I received from your colleague.
Hi Melanie, I’m afraid that’s incorrect.
Have you checked out Ed’s Knowledge base under Flexform/Portfolio URL Rewrite?
It’s quite easy to do, but a couple of things to remember. Attached are the settings that I successfully use changing /includes/custom-post-types/portfolio-type.php
1) Line 48…a different recommendation to Ed. This includes a custom slug to replace portfolio. It’s important to choose a slug that is not used anywhere else. I have a page called “Video” (my portfilio page) so I had to use ‘videos’ as the slug.
2) Once done, make sure you go to settings/permalinks and save (no need to change settings from ‘post name’). This avoids the 404 error that you will get otherwise.
3) This will most likely need to be done each time you update the theme.
Cheers

Please see other post “Fail to update to 1.5.3” posted after mine. Three other users experiencing the same.
Updates are really important to us – we love the theme, but we need more communication around updates via this forum please…what changes, what files have been modified etc. This you can get from Themeforest but a couple of updates have been skipped there recently.
Hi, all working fine again.
Found this reference http://dreamdare.org/tips-tricks/how-to-fix-wordpress-custom-post-type-permalink-404-error/ and followed it step by step.
Turned out to be a plugin causing the issue after all (although I’d had it running for a while – wasn’t a new addition). Deleting it and re-installing has fixed the problem.
Hi, tried but doesn’t work. Also tried disabling all plugins – no change. Also tried running from main theme (rather than child) and re-installing flexform…nothing changes.
Thx for the quick pointer

Hi Cosmin,
I’ve tried visiting and even changing permalinks after every variation I’ve tred…no luck
Hi Ben,
Changed sf-post-formats.php to only show love-it if comments open
if ( comments_open() ) {
$post_item .= lip_love_it_link(get_the_ID(), ‘<i class=”icon-heart”></i>’, ‘<i class=”icon-heart”></i>’, false);
}Hi, figured it out
Thanks for trying
Hi,
Tried disabling all plugins, enabling main theme…no joy.
Even deleted existing main theme and re-uploading a new version (no plugins, no css tweaks)…and no joy (even creating a new page with a featured image!)
Apart from doing a fresh wordpress install..don’t suppose there is much else to try?
That option doesn’t appear for pages – only posts. My post search results are showing up fine…it’s the pages that have the missing images in the search results.
