Hi Rui
This was a previous problem which was solved by a colleague of yours, but with the theme update the issue reappeared. I know that we did not need to manually adjust anything, but simply inserted some extra code.
Not sure if that makes any sense.
Thanks

that is great and seems to be working now. The only thing that is still an issue is the mini shopping element where the icons are being cropped. Is this something you can assist with as well whilst we are at it.
Thanks

Do you want the cpanel access, if so I will need to amend passwords.
This reply has been marked as private. You are saying that I have to delete the theme off the website before installing the new one. This means that all the special adjustments to the theme will be lost. Is there not a similar way to ensure that this is not opening up a new can of worms.
If not, could you please give me a step by step as the update was supposedly not going to be an issue in the first place and has caused this. I want to make sure that it is done correctly.
Thanks
BenjaminHi, do I install this as a new theme? What is the installation process for this as to not create other issues with the site.
Thanks

You must be logged in to view attached files.I tried that and it failed – don’t worry, I used the Manual Update in the Slider Settings Plugin. All updated now.
It doesn’t help that plugins (not just Rev Slider) use a variety of ways to update – some work, some don’t. It makes updates very frustrating when there isn’t a set rule on updating. Not anyone’s fault – just the quirks of WordPress and every developer has their own way of running their plugins.
But it does drive me bonkers! :-/
Just found the Manual Update option in the Revolution Plugin Settings in the bottom right hand corner under the scrolling update list. Not exactly obvious placement but now updated and working.
Sorry for my impatience. Plugins do my nut in sometimes!
Cheers
The error is just a blank slider. All our other plugins update fine.
What is the recommended method to update? Install ZIP? Overwrite on FTP? Delete and Re-upload? Is there somewhere in the plugin that will update for me? E.g. auto-update.
I understand the importance for updates but this plugin has been no end of headaches from day 1.
Thanks
This Revolution Slider is one headache after the next!
Just tried to deactivate it and re-upload – FAIL. Tried to rewrite via FTP – FAIL.
Reinstalled the old version. WORKS.
I give up. 🙁
