Thanks! Thant’s what I was looking for. Do you know how I can make my own custom icon? Or add to my icons you have in the atelier theme?

David,
You guys need to really think about your design better. To me this is a very basic functionality. Adding a simple cart or linking to another page with an icon of our choice should be very straight forward from the header.
I find my experience working through extra abstraction layers thanks to SWift PB or atelier to be more of a hindrance if you can’t provide basic support for some very basic functionality.
Furthermore, why am I not able to post new topics?

Hi David,
1. This was the problem initially –>
Page URL: localhost/shop, Breacrumb: Site Title > Products, Page title: Shop
After changing the woocommerce reserved page using the method in step 2 below, I have better consistency.
Page URL: localhost/products, Breadcrumb: Site Title > Products, Page Title: Products
The only problem is that I have to leave that page blank or else all the products get added to the page at the bottom after all my content on the page. Not the biggest deal to just leave the page blank and let woocommerce do its thing so I consider this problem solved).
2. I also changed the woocommerce reserved page to a page of my choice instead of the ‘shop’ by going to woocommerce > settings > product > display > shop page dropdown. I’m just including this as a comment so that the community can use this for their reference.
However, before you guys close out this issue can I get a response for the following?
I’ve also tried to use Posts 2 Posts plugin but not able to get it to show the connection metabox. Is Atelier capable of doing this? I like this plugin and the functionality it provides but not sure how I would be able to get the metaboxes to show.
Best,
HarshaRui,
You make a good point. I guess I’m just a little confused about the custom post types and the best way to use them. Any tips and notes on correct way of using them?
I’m still having some issues to create pages with the same ‘name’ (i.e. do you mean manually include /portfolio-parent/portfolio-child in the permalink of the page). Is there a step-by-step guide for this kind of procedure? I’m a little confused when using pages to create menu items (the other alternative is to use custom links as menu items) because it seems like a very broken way of doing things.
Is this way of doing things related to the shop page usage with woocommerce? I’ve noticed that when using the path http://www.site.com/shop which is reserved by WooCommerce in some unknown way the edit page looks empty but works fine when clicked on. How are these pages being populated?

Been working on this for nearly a day or so now. Figured out how to set the hierarchical to ‘true’ in the register_post_type() within a functionality plugin and also enabled page-attributes to show parent pages. However, I’m still not able to figure out how to make the parent of the portfolio custom post type a static page.
I’ve also tried to use Posts 2 Posts plugin but not able to get it to show the connection metabox. I’m assuming this way above your service level offered but is it possible to get some feedback from one of the developers about integration of the theme with this plugin? Is Atelier capable of doing this?

Hey Kyle,
I just saw this. Thanks for the great high level pointers. I ended up using Duplicator and that worked quite well. Managed to setup the staging server with Bit Bucket and FT ploy and no problems so far.

Even though I have changed my Favicon, when I hover over it it still has caption “Powered by WordPress” and when I click on it, it takes me to WordPress page. Any suggestions?
SandraEddy,
Can you please share your workaround?
Harsha
Thanks for the Plugin tip. I will keep it in mind for future solutions. I ended up using another alternative which I found when looking at it more carefully.
Upon hovering on the slide name it’s possible to select quick edit and changing the date. The Swift Slider order by most recent first so manually changing the date served as a hack.
Despite this idiosyncrasy I still love the Swift Slider!
