The latest build Ed sent me resolves the remaining issue from this thread.

Although, it may be a good idea to integrate my css ‘fix’ into the core Cardinal css file:

.events-cal #ui-datepicker-div {
border: 1px solid #aaaaaa !important;
background: #ffffff !important;
color: #222222 !important;
}
