Hi s2dgn!
I think I landed on some kind of agreement which only includes myself and the immediate need for checking the functions of the theme. This compromise contains following…..that’ll skip the installation of the “neighborhood_demo-content-full.xml_file”! I have already succeeded in installing the “neighborhood_demo-content-alt.xml_file”, (not so difficult!) and so far this installation works fine! When the functions has been checked, I’ll try to install the “demo-bla-bla-full.xml_file” later on.
But regarding the problems you may encounter during your entrance to this magnificent theme, you may stay in tuch! I hope for you that you’ll avoid the problems I had trying the installation according to the recommendations of the theme developers! Good luck!
And if I’m the lucky one?….I’ll post how to install the “-full.xml_file….the easy way?_eccesso™

August 3, 2013 at 5:07 pm in reply to: Having Problems or Issues with XML Demo Content Upload? Try This Solution #14326Hi,
I’m severely happy with vkilkas reply to my concern about the NON_functioning_.XML files! If new clients try to read the comments in the portofoliohistory of SwiftIdeas – before they purcahse the themes – they’ll notice that the issue about the NOT_Working.XML files and many other issues!, are all a central part of the theme package buyers purchase. Check Flexform Responsive_bla_blah_blah_theme, Check Supreme Retina_blah_blah_blah_theme. Most of the comments concern the upload of the NON_working_demo_content_XML.files!
This must be the concern and responsibility of the developers to provide the files, which actually works and provides the functionality themebuyers actually buy the theme for! That isn’t hard to understand. So the essens of my concern is, why do you sell and provide yours products in such an extend before they actually have been adequately developed?
So the problem with the missing .XML file which works, has been an issue that actually never has been solved!
I don’t think that new buyers of the themes realize how much trouble-struggle and timeconsuming they have to spend on making the theme function properly! And will they ever know if the themes really function the way it should? Many of the support replies reveal, that the developer is more than satisfied – when the client has solved the problem himself!
About myself – I stopped wondering and want a cashback ASAP! Thank you Neighborhood_people for your understanding!

19 hours ago FlagHi! I’ve purchased the Theme, and it’s very awesome! Easy to install and contains a number of flexible options, which I haven’t seen in current themes on the ThemeForest site. Though I have experienced installing problems! I have installed the demo content and only succeeded in installing the neighborhood_demo-content-alt.xml_version. This import worked fine, and revealed a number of predefined setups! Looks great! Besides I’ve tried to install the neighborhood_demo-content-full.xml_version – after! – increasing and changing the php.upload features severely! I followed your recommandations and added a bit more! But….still I receive the message: “Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.” End of message!
I’m still concerned about trying to import and watch the full version of the neighborhood_demo-content-full.xml_file. Is this possible in anyway, or is it only possible to import the neighborhood_demo-content-alt.xml_version? The demo Content folder only contains the Alt Background Image Files, and has no Full Background Image File folder? Is this the problem or may I change the php.memory upload again? Please replay ASAP. Thanks a lot for your concern!

I’d recommend contacting your host to see if there’s anything they can do. When issues occur with the import process, it’s usually down to the host.

Answer from purchaser:
Hi! The issue I experience has Nothing! to do with my host, who has provided an excellent support with the changing of my php.ini and .htaccess_files! I also had to change the upgrade myself a number of times during installation, and according to your recommendations from the installationguide. Now I can’t remember the default settings of these files.
I wasn’t aware of – before my purchase of the theme – that lots of other purchasers experience the same problems with uploading the “full”_content of the .xml-file from the demo_mode. I’m sure you already know this issue hasn’t been solved yet?
I’ve actually tried most of the advanced suggestions and recommendations from the supportsite, and nothing so far works! Installing of the “full-content.XML” file, and not the ALT.xml file – has become a genuine nightmare! I’ve tried everything possible, and NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING works!?
Your comment from the installationguide: “We’ve provided “full” and “alt” versions of the demo content. This is because the full demo content is very large, and will take a while to import. The alt version includes all the pages, but only a handful of products/posts/portfolio items. If you struggle with importing the “full” version, then please try the “alt” version.”
Your comment hasn’t anything to do with the filesize, which usually increases the uploadtime! NO! The actual reason is, that the timeconsuming merely is related to all the struggles your purchasers experience during their attempts to upload the demo_full-content.XML file!
Do you know,…that I’ve actually reinstalled the SQL_base 5 times trying to upload the full_content.XML file? And NOTHING works yet! I’ve never experienced the crashing of a SQL_base, but the base actually crashed several times, and became completely unresponsive! Never tried it, and I don’t like it!
My final conclusion is, that this theme hasn’t been fully developed yet, but severely needs more caretaking from your developers before the theme is ready for sales! At this time I finally don’t believe that uploading the demo_full_content.XML will work!
Avoiding more frustrations and troubles with this theme, I suggest you make a refund of my payment ASAP! So….please return my money to the same account the theme was purchased from! The amount is USD 60,00! I’ll probably buy the theme, whenever it’s fully developed?
Thanks a lot for your understanding! _eccesso™ -
