I’m also having this issue. Fresh download of the theme. Definitely installed properly (using the “Required Plugins Installer” provided in this theme). Not sure what the problem is… Just letting you know this isn’t an isolated issue!
TO FIX THIS ISSUE:
1) Download a fresh copy (full) of the theme
2) Extract the contents of the .ZIP file
3) From the WordPress Admin Panel, click “Slider Revolution” button in the main menu (left)
4) Near the top of the page, there should be x3 boxes- click the one that says “Import Slider”
5) In the ‘Open File’ window that appears, navigate to …\Neighborhood_v3.2.3\Demo Content\Revolution Slider Demo
6) Select the .ZIP archive named ‘homeslider.zip’ (located in the directory listed above)
7) Leave ‘Custom Animations’, ‘Custom Navigations’ and ‘Static Styles’ at their defaults (feel free to change this if you know what these options do)
8) Finish the import by clicking the ‘Import Slider’ buttonFebruary 17, 2016 at 8:38 pm in reply to: (Emergency) Front Page Partially Loading [Firefox] #250140Can you tell me what the original functionality was with this class? I believe it is used to hide elements on the template until the page is completely loaded. This would be nice, as long as it finishes revealing the other elements. I’d prefer to restore the original functionality if possible (instead of just forcing them to show).
Perhaps you could take a look at our Font Options and verify that they are configured properly? (For Google Font use)
I’m also a little confused as to the console error regarding the Google Maps API. Do you think this is throwing a wrench into the JS (thus causing the scripts to stop running)?
February 17, 2016 at 8:24 pm in reply to: (Emergency) Front Page Partially Loading [Firefox] #250136I patched this issue by adding this to the child theme’s CSS:
.wf-loading body {
visibility: visible !important;
}February 17, 2016 at 8:23 pm in reply to: (Emergency) Front Page Partially Loading [Firefox] #250128I think that FontDeck was the cause of a similar issue (probably my last ticket). I believe this is something different… I could be wrong, but yeah.
February 17, 2016 at 8:21 pm in reply to: (Emergency) Front Page Partially Loading [Firefox] #250124Google (because FontDeck was causing problems before)
February 17, 2016 at 8:07 pm in reply to: (Emergency) Front Page Partially Loading [Firefox] #250113CORRECTION:
The culprit style is located at: /themes/neighborhood/style.css (Line 224).wf-loading body {
visibility: hidden;
}So the style is not applied to the ‘.container’ class… But this ‘.wf-loading’ should be removed by jQuery, or the hidden elements revealed when the page loads, but that is not happening.
I just wanted to drop my two cents here… I also had this issue. Now, I am unsure whether or not FontDeck is the default setting for the theme, but if so- then this should be changed so that the default font is either a standard font or a Google font. In fact, I am not sure why FontDeck is even an option… It DESTROYS the page loading time.
May 20, 2015 at 4:27 am in reply to: Stange "dimensions" on product page (when using demo content) #176706The following is the same product on your demo for ‘Neighborhood’. Just ‘Colour’ and ‘Size’ on you guys’ site. I am doing something wrong with the importing of the demo content…
I get 403 errors when I try to install the Demo Content Installer Plugin- so I un-encoded the url it tried to take me to and installed it that route. Then I tried to activate the plugin from the plugins page (where all the recommended plugins are listed). That doesn’t let me activate it, so I have to activate that plugin from ‘Admin > Plugins’.
Once the plugin is installed, and I finally get the data imported, there is x4 of every menu item, and random broken data scattered around the site (apparently). Can you guys revisit and update this process so it works? It would really help me out…
Rui,
I provided you with my credentials and it’s been awhile now. Did you look into this at all? It appears to effect other customers as well. It makes the site unpresentable, and the page should not be taking so long to load.
Can you please help me get this sorted out? And I really hope the only option isn’t to modify the slider to run on $(window).load() instead of $(document).ready().
I reverted back to the slider that comes with the demo content… The page still loads pretty darn slow, and the slider appears long before the rest of the content.
This reply has been marked as private.One thing worth mentioning is that there was a slight complication importing the demo data. I had to tinker quite a bit to get the data to import (like other users have had to do), and once it imported, I had three duplicates of each ‘Main Menu’ item (that I had to delete one-by-one via ‘Appearance > Menus’. I do not believe there were any other duplicates of anything, but I feel it is worth mentioning.
