My website is in maintenance mode, not sure how I can show you since it won’t load for you.
I think I explained it pretty simple. I’ll break it down for you more.
1. Create a new blog post.
2. Add a text block or text block (full width)
3. Then publish it.
4. Then go to the page where you have your swift blog element listing your blog posts.
5. Look for the blog post you just created, you will see that in its excerpt part, where some text from the blog post should be shown, nothing will be shown.– Ali
I updated to v 1.5 but the problem is still there. When you change the heading font to a google font, you also don’t see the font selection being applied on the preview text.
1. I found a few widgets but they were pretty bad, aesthetically speaking. Would be good to have something that merges in to this theme seamlessly. One of the widgets I tried to use required me to go and set up a new dev app on instagram, don’t think it needs to be that complicated.
Thank you for looking in to these!

November 29, 2013 at 2:03 am in reply to: No option for default blog post meta. Some other options seem missing. #34349That worked! Thank you for looking in to these Ed.
Thanks for looking in to these.
Issues:
4. I no longer have an example of that set up, I have my video set up with the configuration of the Parallax Video Height property set to Content Height now and I like the way that property behaves right now (simply scrolling the video up along with the page scroll – no double movement effect). Let me know if you are unable to replicate the issue and I will try to set that up for you. My website is currently in maintenance mode so we’ll get you an account for you to see the behavior.
Suggestions:
1. Very cool! Should I expect that in your next release?
2. So I tried sticking in a youtube video mp4 url by digging it up. At first everything worked fine, video was loading instantaneously at page load (thanks youtube streaming servers!). However, next day, the video stopped working. More digging around reveal that youtube changes the direct mp4 file url, and its not necessary that the mp4 thats playing from a direct url today would still work tomorrow. Not sure if vimeo also works that way. So it’s looking like it will really be helpful to add the support to link a youtube video or a vimeo video. I’ve seen a theme doing that before, but can’t find it right now.
When are you expecting to release the next update with the fixes?
Thanks again!

If I was to later use cols within my content area, is there a width value you would recommend that accommodates cols and the placement of other theme features the best? Maybe a value that renders the width same as the width of the content area when the side bar is present.
November 29, 2013 at 1:31 am in reply to: fading sticky header like the “Naked Header” example #34346Thank you!
I was able to make this work by modifying the above css a bit to this:
.page-id-2442 .sticky-header #logo h1 { color: #fff!important; } .page-id-2442 .sticky-header-resized #logo h1 { color: #222!important; }
5. Here’s one other issue I found. The related articles section shows thumbnails for blog posts that have images but then the default thumbnail shown for blog posts without an image is of a smaller size, causing an inconsistency in the row of images. Illustrated here: http://glui.me/?i=yzn19sli4remtt9/2013-11-28_at_5.15_AM_2x.png/
November 28, 2013 at 5:33 am in reply to: fading sticky header like the “Naked Header” example #34045I was able to find the “Remove the spacing at the top of the page” option in the page meta options. That helped me fix the issue no.1. That still leaves me with the issue no.2 unresolved. Mentioning it again here
2. The CSS provided in the article requires me to upload a retina logo. Is there a way to just keep on using the default text as the site title as is? At the moment it keeps showing the title in black where as it should be in white (since the dark video will be in its background) and then it should turn black once the user scrolls. Is there a way to do this without uploading a new retina logo?
November 28, 2013 at 4:02 am in reply to: fading sticky header like the “Naked Header” example #34039So far, I was able to reduce the extra space showing on top by selecting the 7th header in the header options. However this still leaves me with this extra space shown here: http://glui.me/?i=t6y2pawg1gt97i0/2013-11-27_at_7.58_PM_2x.png/
I am guessing I am still missing some setting here.
The item no.2 I mentioned is also still unresolved.
I can really use some help here with this
November 28, 2013 at 2:02 am in reply to: fading sticky header like the “Naked Header” example #34038I was able to follow this article in the knowledge base to get the fading affect: http://support.swiftideas.net/knowledgebase/replicating-the-demo-naked-header-example/
And I used the Home (Example Eight) in the Swift Page Builder to get something close to the desired look. But it’s still not fully replicating the Naked Header Demo example. At the moment encountering 2 issues:
1. There is a big space in between the background video and the menu itself. I am not sure which setting this spacing is coming from: http://glui.me/?i=p4x39za6yb2sk0v/2013-11-27_at_5.56_PM_2x.png/
