sorry but no – the problem exists even if I follow your suggestion. but the theme should not be silently adding menu options without my knowledge.

at any rate, i just created a mobile menu that has 1 item, catalog, and when I look at the site on my samsung s5, it duplicated cart and wishlist (but placed other items on the menu that were not duplicated, but which i did not add to the mobile menu). So the responsive design implementation appears to be faulty.

i have supplied the login credential twice already. please looks at the web site.

as it now stands, i cannot go ahead with launch until i am shown what i am doing wrong, or it is conceded that there is an actual bug in atelier with respect to menus, and the bug fixed. it would be helpful to have more documentation on this feature.

please be specific in answering, as time to launch is fast approaching. i appreciate your help, but i find i am spending a lot of time detailing my questions and gets very brief and incomplete answers.

    cheers

that is exactly what I am currently wrestling with right now 9 days before launch. My products can be grouped by categories (say, dog widgets, cat widgets, bird widgets) but then I want to add a time element (latest, oldest, on sale, etc). This would be best achieved by using tags. A Time Dimension is orthogonal to the Type of a widget, so to mix the two results in architectural puke. Is there any way via js or css (not php please) to have a slider select widgets by tags? If not tags, you could also add custom fields, so long as the sliders could see them.

okay i figured it out. a little gnarly at first. you have to go in the classic editor and change pic IDs by hand as the background image toggles only work on the “inner” background image. you can then change the menu that come with the demo to your own that has the desired links to whatever pages you want. what made this odd is the custom css i wrote did not work at all in terms of changing the urls of background selectors. i used inspect to find the main demo page id which (yikes) began with a number, but even when i used tricks like escape characters to target this id selector that begins with a numeral (or other tricks, all of which work elsewhere) the wp preprocessor barfed. once you get the hang of it it’s pretty easy and begins to look like any other plain ol’ point and click page builder.

1st big hurdle how does one change mega menu links without going into the dreaded html php area?
2nd big hurdle how does one the background poster.jpg — which i thought would change by changing the img in Theme Options > Background Options

    thx!

okay coffee demo loaded successfully after several tries (20 %, then 60%, then bingo). seems to have blown away my original home page, no big deal, but did not destroy my catalog. the home page page builder layout is complex, or should i say, fairly tricky and intricate, less simple for me that if just pumped out html and css but i get the feeling once you get the hang of it can be very flexible, powerful, and a time saver (if you know what you are doing) — especially since i have absolutely no desire to learn the zombie language known as PHP. the very cool “proceed to checkout popup” works. i shall have to study it further to see how it was all done. killer background picture, which makes it all hang together, but unfortunately i do not have one like that for my client, as I doubt a samsung s5 — which is the only camera i have! — can take a pic with that depth level. thanks guys!

hmmm i thought the ajax thing sounded familiar. i set it to on when i first installed Atelier but it is not doing anything in terms of the popup proceed to checkout. maybe this has to do with the coffee demo. i only have a few products in my catalog, as i familiarize myself with atelier. i think i will import the coffee demo, even if it blows away all my stuff, to see how it was done.

here is the link to my product page product
here is the link to the hp NPL HP

so re (1) understood. no problemo.

re (2) my HP is a static page, what WP calls a front page
the question is how can I add more content below this page, such as other pages, or am I forced to make a massive front page containing multiple elements?
in the woothemes storefront product, these additional layers are known as sections — there is a clean separation
sections are not really very configurable, but the idea is that below my Featured Canvas, and can then add another page or section that has, say, This Week’s Sale Items and put those in some kind of gallery, appearing below the HP static page

re (3) this is shown in link 1 — you will note the product description is absent, even though I input it. I have a ticket out with Woocommerce to determine if this a bug, and if so, whose, Woocommerce or Atelier. But you can clearly see the Related Products interfering with by pushing down the Add to Cart button. Pity, that.

re (4) please click on SwiftIdeas Atelier Form Coffee Demo’s ADD to CART button. A popup window immediately appears saying Proceed to Checkout. How can I implement this?
