Try to delete the Rev Slider plugin files from the server and upload the files from the latest version available on the beginning of this topic.

The slides information is stored in the database.

hello,
to correct to improve the score on PageSpeed, I wanted to update the plugin “revolution slider” (PageSpeed signaled to me “Delete JavaScript and CSS that block the display content above-the-fold”).

I upgraded to the latest version, the result is negative:
loading slider slowed in the home
and score PageSpeed worsened with the addition of other errors

leggi la mia esperienza and let me share with the others readers:
from all I know, Page Speed Insights is not so precise as it should or seems to be. The fact is that in 3 months I made 3 steps: from shared hosting, through a semidedicated one and finally to a dedicated server for my Dante featured ecommerce!
I only have for a few weeks W3C Total Cache installed with no significant result in page speed, but quite a few troubles related to js and css minification.
Now I only have APC and deflate activated on my linux server.

Swiftideas guys can’t do anything more than just done. Swift framework is one of the best I have been testing/using till now, so… just ignore google page speed test and focus on some other tough things like: heavy external fonts that are not for web, too heavy images, slow shared hosting and so on… 🙂

My site was hacked through the rev slider just before Christmas so I uninstalled the plugin, and the files from my FTP. Having read about the update, I tried to re-install the slider with the downloadable file, at the beginning of this thread, but that won’t upload directly from my computer as a plugin. If I try to reinstall through wordpress I get an invalid URL, presumably because the files are no longer in my FTP!

Any ideas how I can get the rev slider back or any alternative rev slider that will function with Neighborhood theme?

did you try download the rev slider zip, and then upload as a plugin via WP admin? If that didn’t work, you’ll need to upload via ftp to the plugins directory
