    I have same problem.
    I’ve updated 1.72, but the permission issue is still there.

    That is why you are seeing the message – if you click the link in the error message it will detail how to add these details to your wp-config.php file, and then you won’t see the message, nor need to add in FTP info for each plugin install.

    I added FTP details to wp-config.php as the link described.
    But the Permission message is still there.

    Hi, same issue here. v.1.72

    File Permission Issues
    We were unable to modify required files
