Hi Ed!
How are you?
As we talked,,,I want create two different filterable portfolio, like “AUX blog”,
The idea is create a filterable list categories for Sector and another for Skills
can you help me?In themeforest comment’s theme you tells me, that it’s possible and no difficult,
maybe with parents/childs categories.
If you doesn’t remember, here an exemple of this (sector & expertise):
http://designit.com/work/sectorI tried to define two list whith main category called ‘Skills’ (his parents: Branding, Packaging, Logo, Campaing,…) and another called ‘Sector’ (his parents: Food, Movility, Shops, Goverment,…)
but when show a gallery portfolio they appears mixed. Please, can you tell me how can filter in separate two categories?
(or maybe another way to do it)Is it possible hide the category which is not in use under the title of the portfolio item?
Or maybe hidde all categories under the portfolio item…—-
And in other side,
can you show me to add AUX filter in gallery portfolio?
(a bit of code to implement inside portfolio gallery page/loop)I love this!! One of the main reasons to buy this theme.
http://dante.swiftideas.net/blog-timeline-full-width/blog-masonry-with-aux/The idea is show AUX portfolio filter for “Skills”, “Sector”, “Clients” & “Year”

Please, it’s really important for me,
can you bring me some help about this improvements?
I hope that you and your team be considerate me…Thanks Thanks Thanks a lot in advance.

Good update v.1.1, thanks!December 4, 2013 at 12:20 pm #35224Hi Ed & Support team,,,
Please, can you help me about this?1.
One way, that I imagine:
In portfolio Swift builder, I can select the categories that i want to show, ok.
But the problem it’s that returns all categories of the portfolio items, and appears mixed -selected and no-selected- (skills & sector)
If I could only show the selection filterable categories, I would a possible solution…2. No idea,,,, maybe creating “function sf_portfolio_aux”

Please, can you bring me some instructions?December 4, 2013 at 6:49 pm #35289Hi @abeldb,
Right ok.
1) Have you set up 2 parent categories, and then under 1 of them set skills, and the other set the sectors? That way you can have 2 completely separate portfolios. If you post a link to the site, I will happily check what you’ve done so far.
2) Unfortunately it’s a little more complicated than that. The functionality isn’t there right now, but it’s something we may look into providing an update for it in the near future.

Ummm,,, yes I know,
You told to Jason 5 days ago in dante’s themeforest comments.
It’s ok, but,,, I want two filterable ways for the same portfolio items…I tried to combine categories from clients taxonomy
(skills defined again here) but I still fighting a lot with this,,,Please, some help will be really welcome
2. Yeeap,,, will be a wonderfull upgrade!!
We look forwardThanks a lot again
December 4, 2013 at 10:30 pm #353761) So you actually want to be able to filter portfolio items with two sets of filters? If so, unfortunately that isn’t currently possible. It would need an extra taxonomy to be set up to allow that.

December 5, 2013 at 7:53 am #35431Oooups,,,
1.
I don’t have problem to show a filterable portfolio in different pages…
(one page for skills and another for sector)
Perhaps it would be simple, as said before:
If I could only show the selection filterable categories, I would a possible solutionAt least, Is it possible config this point?
Thanks again for your patience
December 5, 2013 at 8:19 am #35437Yes, that point should be ready to go as standard already. If it’s not as so, could you please provide a link/login so that I can check?

December 5, 2013 at 2:05 pm #35491Hi Ed,
Check it in standard, gallery and masonry mode, it works in the same way.
If the portfolio items to show have more than one category,
the portfolio gallery filter shows all categories of the items. Therefore, the filter portfolio categories page is not accurate…
they returns category items, no your selection categories to show.If you help to change this behavior for me it’s functional as I want…
in this way it will be possible create to separate filterable portfolios with the same items. And maybe this feature as improve will be good for other users.
I have very grateful for your willingness

Please, test it!
Of course, If it’s necessary I’ll create a new user for check my web
no problem!Thanks again.
December 5, 2013 at 3:01 pm #35514Hi again Ed!!
I have an idea about this issue, will be another way:
Will be show Category Clients custom post type in filterable portfolio?
Obviously in categories Clients will be define the Sector of clients,
and in categories portfolio the skills. But maybe this way it’s more complicated…
We will be mixing two custom types categories (portfolio+Clients)
in filter portfolio for one result (portfolio items)Sorry, I’m thinking a lot arround this…
December 6, 2013 at 2:40 pm #35713That’s probably a more complicate solution.
I’m not sure I’m getting what you’re problem is with this. The categories that are shown in the filter, are only those of what are included within the items – so no items will show unless there is returned results for them.
It would really help to see your site to be able to understand.
Thanks,
– Ed
