Hi,
You can choose the Thumbnail and featured content of the post via the ‘Thumbnail Options’ and ‘Detail Media Options’ Page Meta Box on the ‘Edit Post’ Page . See screenshot for reference: http://prntscr.com/2tusfj .

To hide the featured content on a post by post basis you can use this custom css. Just change the ???? with post id .

.postid-???? figure.media-wrap {display:none;}

I am afraid its not possible to center it since the heading and breadcrumbs are in the same div container. So if we try to set a auto margin on the heading to center it does the breadcrumb comes in its way and the position is not calculates correctly.
