Hi Rui,
Thanks again for your quick work on this. I am grateful for your time and attention and will pass your info along to him.
Take good care!
Hi Rui,
Thank you for your quick response. Yes, WPML developers identified WordPress HTTPS (SSL) as the cause of the conflict. That plugin, while boasting over 80,000 active installs, has not been updated in 2+ years, so I can understand why it might cause conflicts with newer versions of other plugins / WordPress version updates.
WPML is in the process of connecting with WordPress HTTPS (SSL)’s author to resolve the incompatibility.
Until then, we require another solution. How do we modify all references in the theme to call upon a secure version? You mentioned modifying .htaccess. How should he modify it? Could he perform a database search and replace all?
I would also like to know this!
Hi Cosmin,
It’s been awhile! I was working on other things and this went to the backburner. However, the problem persists.
I am using the latest version of Flexform. I have tried deactivating all plugins with no success. I even got rid of the child theme. No dice. The progress bar still doesn’t load in Firefox, or on mobile.
The site is now live at http://virunga.org. Any insight you can provide would be most helpful.
Thanks!
Okay, I checked all of the options so they should show up on every page but nothing. 🙁
I think I’ve noticed something though – it seems they aren’t showing up on any pages that have blog posts listed. The sharing buttons aren’t appearing on the blog page either.
Hi Laranz,
Thanks for your response. Unfortunately I don’t see any Projects check box in Jetpack Sharing settings. I’ve attached a screenshot showing what I see.
I have Pages checked though, which is where I want them to appear. It’s just that they only show up on some pages and not others.

I disabled and uninstalled Jetpack, and it still didn’t work. (After trying this, I reinstalled Jetpack because I want to use their subscription module.) I’ve also tried deactivating all plugins and saw no change.
As far as the horizontal scrolling goes, it is happening because I made the main container’s overflow visible to allow for the slider to extend up underneath the header bar. It’s not an ideal solution, so if you can think of a way to allow for the header to overlap the slider without also creating this horizontal scrolling situation, that would be awesome.
I don’t think the overflow would be affecting the progress bar however.
Any other ideas?

So don’t know what that strange fluke was about, but it seems to have righted itself.
My bad!
I forgot I put that up there. It’s down now. 🙂
Hi Cosmin,
Just wanted to mention that it is also happening when I use the recent posts widget. I haven’t tried yet, but I’m sure I can get rid of it with CSS.
But like you said.. that probably shouldn’t be happening.
Any ideas?
This reply has been marked as private.I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that you are supposed to upload a blank functions.php file with your child theme. Anything you add to it then overrides the main theme’s functions.php. (Unlike other folders in the child theme that replace the parent theme’s folders, the child theme’s functions.php is loaded in addition to the parent theme’s functions.php.)
Check out the section about functions.php:

Joris – I had success with this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/proper-avatars/
