Ed I am a big fan of your themes but it is not ok to let your customers debug your faulty files and spend hours on something that would take a developer 5 minutes to debug. The Error is located in the theme’s aq_resize() function. Working fine for me now after I fixed it.
Best regards
The problem seems to be related to the aq_resize() function.
(There have been countless other cases like this on the WPML forums, in all cases the problem is theme-related within this function, none of the existing solutions work for neighborhood)When you look at line 57 of product-image.php, the correct $image_link is given in both cases when the aq_resize() function is called but in the next line the $image (that has been returned by the aq_resize function) is empty in one case.
how did you solve the problem? (same problem here…)
This problem has been existing for 4 months so „waiting“ is not good enough in my opinion. If you label your theme WPML compatible please be so kind to fix these kind of issues or simply make it clear to your customers before the purchase that it is in fact not fully compatible. An online-shop is useless when customers cannot see the product.
Best regards
Same problem here with latest version of neighborhood. (and WP 3.9 and latest WC)
Any updates?Best regards

Hi Mel, could you please remove the url I wrote in comment #30254
Thank you!
Hi,
for anyone having these problems in this thread it would make sense to install a service like the free version of New Relic (newrelic.com) and post the results here. Will post mine, too, shortly.
Best regards
Nothing to do with „you“ being the client 🙂 Client-side usually describes that your users cannot load the page fast because of large images, too many scripts, etc. This is what the Swiftideas-Support staff usually wants you to believe so you have to take care of the problem yourself. Totally on your side that the theme is not optimized.
I ran it on an Ubuntu Apache Server with 512MB of RAM. The theme used so much RAM my server killed the MySQL database connection so my site was unreachable. This happened every day. I also bought their Flexform theme. Same problem. I upgraded to 1GB of RAM, so my site usually crashes when I have a lot of people surfing my site, not everday, but say once a week. ANNOYING! Please fix.
@edendesigns do you also have long „wait times“ in the browser? Meaning the time till the server sends any data at all to the user. Mine is sometimes around 5 secs. :/As I have pointed out before I personally think this is a server-side problem not a client-side problem (css-minifying, image-size, etc.). If you look at the number of SQL-queries that is necessary for this theme to load a single site it is up to 10x as much as any other theme I have used before.
This reply has been marked as private.SOLVED: WP-cache : false 🙂 (in wp-config.php)
FYI: I use WP Super Cache –> this caused the problem apparently.
addition: only the cart-page is totally wrong.
– random product in cart
– you cannot remove the product
– only one product in cart– the cart-widget displays the correct products. I am on WP 3.5.2 and NH 1.3.3
same here. I wrote about this weeks ago and never got a proper solution. The moderator just closed my thread! We had (and still have) huge server wait times!
