    laranz –

Thanks for getting back to me. Seems as if I made a newbie mistake. When I moved the site from my local host to my server, it appears as if I missed advanced-cache.php. Uploaded it and everything seems to be working fine.

Strange that that was causing the problem though since I had my caching plugin disabled.

Again, everything seems to be working fine. Thank you for taking the time to look!

I’m kicking myself in the face right now for not thinking about CloudFlare‘s ignore attributes. I’d read about them in the past and had never had a need to use them.

But alas, no dice. I added the attribute and reenabled Rocket Loader, but the entire TypeKit javascript gets ignored and reverts back to the default font.

It’s got to be a Rocket Loader issue, though. I’ve enabled CF’s JS minification and it recognizes the ignore attribute and everything seems to work perfectly.

I’ve always had a love/hate relation ship with Rocket Loader, as it seems to cause more problems than not. But when it works …

Anyways, I think I’m a one-off case with this and most should be able to follow your guide above to TypeKit heaven!

    Stay awesome and again, thanks!

Yep, yep, yep … That was it. It was a combination of Rocket Loader and Auto Minify. This will be a fun one to deal with when I go through and optimize the site. 🙂

Site speed vs slight text flicker … I think speed might win out in the long run.

Thank you for your help in tracking down a solution for my problem. Also, thanks for this game-changer of a theme!

Yep, I’m one of the CloudFlare original 100, even got the t-shirt to prove it. 🙂

Back to the drawing board on this one. I’ll do some more digging around and maybe I’ll get lucky and stumble across the issue.

    Thanks!

Disabled both LayerSlider and RevSlider with same results. Disabled all plugins … same results. Hmm …

I use synthesis as my web host and hadn’t had an issue with TypeKit and the previous theme.

I’ve tried both options in Font Options with the same result. But here’s the weird part, I get the flash of text in both Firefox and Chrome, but not Safari.

    Scratching my head here.

    Ed –

Just to follow up … your walk-thru works perfectly. However, instead of using the plugin, I’m using the child theme.

The only issue that I’m running in to is that on page load it initially displays the fallback font and then converts to the TypeKit font. I’ve tried both with the plugin and the child theme with the same results for both.

I’m guessing it has to do with the order of the JavaScript loading.

Hmm … time to dig in.

Thank you for the support and quick turn around!

Testing it out now. I’ll follow up once I’ve gone through the process.

    Again, thank you!

Ed – You’re my new best friend!

I normally wait to add ratings on ThemeForest, but five stars coming your way.

    Thank you!
