Yes, Laranz. And, on the iPad, you can’t get the same action as using a mouse on a regular computer if you put your finder over one of the Related Products images. So, it is not truly “responsive,” which is what most developers are wanting nowadays.

That’s why I think it is important for Woocommerce to allow us a place on the Admin page to decide if we only want one item, etc. For instance, the website I have just created is a motorcycle sales site and, if one of the Honda 125cc bikes is selected, I am only interested in showing other Honda 125cc models that are also available on the Product page. But, I should have the option to maybe show the bikes in different colors, if I choose to.

I hope they will consider updating their program to allow for this and also correct the problem with displaying the Related Product images on an iPad or other mobile device.

    Regards,

    Glen

Thanks for your reply, Melanie and Laranz.

Laranz, I appreciate the link to the above pages. Seems to me it would be beneficial for us to have the option to fully control the ‘related products’ actions through an Admin Section option, rather than have to do any fidgeting with the code. Maybe they will consider it for future versions.

However, there still remains a problem because the feature doesn’t work properly on an iPad and, since the world has come to rely on various mobile devices to view sites on the Internet, the problem needs to be addressed.

In case anyone has an iPad and would like to see the problem for themselves, you can see it on the Neighborhood Theme “Live Preview” site, as well. When you view any product and scroll down the page, you’ll notice the problem with the Related Images section, where the next Related Images show below the initial image.

I look forward to any comments. Thanks!

    Hi Tahir.

Yes, your changes have allowed the iPad browser to show the Revolution Slider fine now. As you saw, just the images and action buttons were set to Random and I wonder if the size of the images may have caused the problem.

Thanks you again for taking the time to check this problem out and finding a solution for me.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

    Glen

Okay, I found all the replies, etc. to my original topic, but had to do the search at the very beginning of the main Support Forum page. However, I still feel it might be good to have the Search area appear at the top of the individual Theme forums to perhaps avoid some confusion.

When I put in “revolution slider” as the search details, I saw links to the topic in lots of other Themes and, if my post hadn’t been very recent, it may have been a bit confusing to locate it among the others that were listed.

Please ignore the 4th slider problem. I didn’t change any of the coding, but decided to just remove the “Featured Image” and put it right back again – now it works!

Friday the 13th in reverse? 🙂

Still have the iPad issue, though.

When I logged out, I did see a Search area at the beginning of the overall Main Forum. However, I wonder if you would consider having that same Search area appear at the top of every Theme’s main forum page. I’d rather search within a Theme for topics relating to it, instead of possibly having to search a topic that might also appear in other Themes. I hope you understand what I mean.

    Just a thought!

Just a little more info about the “action button” not working in the new slide……. When I click on it, it shows this, for example:

    website name/product name

The other slides, using the same Slide Link type of coding, show up like this when I click the action button:

    website name/product/product name

For some reason, this 4th slide doesn’t access the “product” directory in the link address line when doing the link action.

Thanks very much, Melanie! I download and updated the slider but, unfortunately, still have the same issue viewing it on the iPad. Not sure what to do about it.

Also, I had 3 slides in my Home Page revolution slider and each has an “action button” to click on to visit the product page. All work fine. However, I added one more slide to the slider and set everything the same as the others (checked it many, many time!), but the “action button” won’t take me to the new product page.

Am I limited to only 3 slides somehow? I haven’t found any settings to control that, unless I’ve been going through this so many times that I’m not seeing the forest through the trees!

Any words of wisdom on this would also be much appreciated.

Thanks, Tahir. I just need to know how I to do this since the Revolution Slider came with the Neighborhood Theme.

    Hi Melanie.

Yes, he did ask and I forgot – a few things going on at the same time around here, including Tropical Storm Gabrielle passing over the island, last night!

I have version 3.0.1 of the Revolution Slider.

    Regards,

    Glen

    Hi Tahir.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it did not work. There was also a transparent.jpg file, so I tried replacing it as well.

I’ll copy back the original files and perhaps you might be able to think of something else I can try.

    Thank you!

    Hi Melanie.

The images are only 400 x 400. There are 3 sliders with 1 image each.

Just 4 lines of text for each slide and 1 button on each slide. Nothing real fancy.

The largest image is only 120 kb.

All layers have some sort of animation, but not complicated.

Okay – now the buttons show up and the links work on the iPad and the Mac….gremlins! However, the Safari app on the iPad still continues to shut down while the slider is running for some reason.

I’d still appreciate any thoughts or suggestions about this.

    Thanks!
