okay i’m not understanding again. The templates in the theme, include things like Shop:half and half, Shop: masonry etc.. isnt there one called Shop:standard? or you mean that the standard shop layout is a blank page and I have to configure it how i want it? Because if that’s what you mean that part makes no sense.. to configure the Product images to look like the example I gave, and the link that Kyle showed me — means using a different swift element than what I am currently using.. so if you can tell me which element that is, that would be great thanks.
here’s mine again with the red overlay when you hover the mouse Here and HERE is the example Kyle showed me which I want to change mine to.
ah! yes.. exactly. Okay for some reason I cant find shop:standard.. i think i might have used that for my shop page and then changed it with the swift elements.. any idea how i can add that one template back to my theme without overwriting any of my current work? arrgh… learning curve 🙂
Kyle that would be fabulous. I def would like to have my look book images 2 or even 3 columns wide on mobile. Thanks! So basically i will just go add a gallery element there tonight and wait for the code? Done 🙂
Hi Kyle, tried that and it didnt work. But i have discovered something.. a bug? have never had this happen before on any wordpress theme so its a bit odd. I deleted two images off one blog entry, then added them back. I added one back at about 200px wide, and the other at about 700 px wide (whatever the theme options gave me to choose from as standard when I embedded the media). I used the ‘handles’ to resize them to look good visually, updated it, and viewed it. It showed both images at the exact size I choose for the upload/embed. One was too small, one was too big – it did not show them as the size of what i had resized with the image resize ‘handles’.
hope this makes sense. I think i might have to go back into the settings somewhere and change the medium image sizes to what i want so i dont have to ‘resize’ with the ‘handles’ on each post.. and then regenerate thumbnails? i’ll give it a try.
Hi David, not sure if you meant testimonials or clients? I’m trying to sort out how to add images to the new client’s page. The testimonials on my front page are working fine. maybe i should start a new thread for this? just dont want to add more threads and take up more space 🙂
HI Kyle and David. I’m having a bit of a time understanding these two points:
#1 Kyle, I have the Post Meta Options set to standard in this blog post and the featured image is huge — http://nightmaircreations.com/rock-n-roll-charm-bracelet/
the one you gave me a link to, is small because i deleted the image, and uploaded it again from scratch so its not a cache issue and its not a post meta issue.
#2. David thanks for the example blog for the clients page! However.. I still dont ‘get’ it. I am not sure how to add my own images to a new client page — do i just use ‘add media’ inside the text of that new post? treat it as any other image?
thanks guys.
thanks Kyle. I found the menus! I wasnt sure where to make them ‘seen’ but found it and played around with them so now i know where they show up on the site – as well as where to make them show up or hide them – and now i can edit them in the appearance/menu section. Thanks!
great. trying to mark this resolved but didnt quite work for me 🙂 consider it so
hi Kyle, David, Rui .. so basically there is no way to have 2 or more images show up in one row on mobile? no grid element i dont know about or ?? hmm.. that kinda bites. Don’t always want every image or row to be a single image on the screen — means more scrolling for anyone on our site which could mean less sales and more click aways.. maybe this is something to think about as an idea for an update.
or… what if i used a text element and added the images to that in html code, and used ‘width=” and then created the size i want and test it on mobile.. wonder if that would give me two or three images across the mobile screen instead of pushing them into a column?
August 4, 2015 at 7:22 am in reply to: Bug in the HEADER OPTIONS inconsistent Cart/wishlist , Account Icon COLOR #200422Hello Nateynartey, question for you and for Kyle too! On your website page (which looks great BTW) your account icon on the top right has sub menu headings of Login and Signup.. how did you get those added? I can only find the account icon option, and it seems to have My Account, sign out and thats it. Did you add custom css to it or was it just a matter of finding the right box to check off? Thanks
August 4, 2015 at 4:38 am in reply to: Slide out menu with sub levels CAN NOT close sublevels #200401I am having this same issue. i tried disabling all plugins and it still does this.
This reply has been marked as private.hi guys, seems to be sort of resolved.. what i mean by that is it ‘stuck’ again last night when i was working on the site and looked at it on mobile, but then an hour later i went back to the same page (signature products) and it stuck, then unstuck just like ‘that’ (snap fingers). so not sure what’s up but if it pops up again and wont resolve i’ll start a new thread at that time.
thx.
Kyle I dont understand. I have the images set to ‘standard’ in the post meta options. That cant be the issue.
