Nevermind… If found the solution. I just created a code snippet again.
I didn’t think it was a plugin but it might have been a php snippet that was being called.
What are you guys using to show the categories here? A shortcode? or a php snippet?
Can you not change the slugs at all? I just tried adding an “a” to one of them to confirm sorting and it suddenly wouldn’t show up anymore until I changed it back to what it was automatically made.
Okay… so I guess the wording in that area needs to be changed if you can’t use numbers. Or at least clarified so that people don’t make the same mistake I did. Can they not be used at all? Or just not as the first characters?
“It is usually all lowercase and contains only letters, numbers, and hyphens.”
My goal was to change it so it sorted by in the order I wanted instead of alphabetically. I’ve done this before in other themes so I figured it would be possible here.
This reply has been marked as private.I was actually trying to solve a similar problem but came across this that should help you. It has an example for excluding the category.

Forgot to link to an example page. Here you go.
The ability to choose an opening category (instead of just ALL) on a portfolio would be really great. For example I have a project right now that needed to have a featured category to display some key work and we’ve had to just use individual pages for each category and it’s made the next / prev project buttons totally not work correctly.
Global switch to turn off social sharing would be awesome.
Nevermind… I figured a solution out. It was the call to the remote server for jquery that was causing an issue. I threw a local copy on there and made the call and now it all works together fine.
What works perfect? The tabs were all broken… Attached is a screenshot.
I am going to put the call for the jquery back in and the tabs will work but you’ll see the nav no longer will.
June 1, 2014 at 10:17 pm in reply to: Portfolio columns not centering correctly on fixed width site #79390Yeah I had the latest version. I didn’t realize just using the shortcode for the swift builder elements would cause that to happen. I switched back over to the builder and moved all my code into builder elements and everything got sorted out with the padding and margin modifying classes.
Thanks.

thanks!
I found that in one of the other threads and used that. Thanks
I am in need of this as well… would be great to at least have alphabetical option.
