Hi, as a follow up to this thread so that I understand correctly: Do you include a newer version of Revolution Slider (if available) whenever you release an update for Flexform? I updated to the latest version of Flexform just recently, but the version of Revolution Slider I have shows 4.6.93.

If not, is there an easy way to update Revolution Slider within WordPress itself instead of through an FTP process?

Hi, I updated to the latest version of Revolution Slider (4.6.93) but still no luck.

As far as clearing the cache, in the Safari menu I selected ‘Develop’ and then ‘Empty Caches’.  I am assuming I did that right?  I also checked the webpage in Firefox and the same problem exists there.

Hi Mohammad,

I am using FileZilla as the ftp client.  To update to the latest version of revolution slider, is the best way to delete the entire revslider folder and replace with the new updated one?  Or just replace the new folder over the old one?  If I completely delete the revslider folder, will this delete all of my slides, etc?

Also, just an fyi, a friend of mine has the same theme and the latest revolution slider version.  He tried adding a layer with an end time but has the exact same problem, so I am guessing this may not resolve the issue.  But I will update and let you know.

Hi Mohammad,

The custom code you gave me makes the layer disappear all together (never shows up on the page). The text layer is suppose to appear and then disappear. In the text layer timing box I have a start time of 1000 and an end time of 4000.

A while back this worked fine and I never had to use any custom code, but now I can no longer get the text layer to disappear at the ‘end time’.

Hi. So just to confirm, to upgrade I need to replace the entire revslider folder with the previous one? And this will not wipe out any css styles I created within the widget?

Thanks. I updated to a newer version through FTP.

When I did this, I had to re-create some css styles that I needed for some text layers. Am I going to need to re-create these styles each time I update to a newer version of the plugin?

Hello, my slider has been hacked as well. When I download the latest version to my computer, it creates a folder called ‘rev slider’ with several files in the folder.

From within the WordPress interface, there is a button that says ‘Update Plugin’, but it does not allow me to upload the folder I downloaded. I can only upload an individual file.

The message says:

To update the slider please show the slider install package. The files will be overwriten. File example: revslider.zip

Is there a way to update from within the WordPress interface or do I need to do this another way?

Hello, I know this is an old post, but is there a way to remove the bottom spacing below the map as well. I have a full width text box right below the map (with background color) but currently there is a little space between the map and the text box. FYI, I am using the Flexform theme if this makes a difference on anything.

That works great for colors like ‘solid blue’ or ‘solid black’, etc. Is there also a way to make it work for a certain hex color? For example, if I want to use the color #1e6fd8, how would I add this?
