Hello,
When I measure at pingdom I get the following to be fixed:
-Serve static content from a cookieless domain
-Remove query strings from static resources
-Specify a Vary: Accept-Encoding headerAlso it says
-Specify cache validator:
“The following resources are missing a cache validator. Resources that do not specify a cache validator cannot be refreshed efficiently. Specify a Last-Modified or ETag header to enable cache validation for the following resources:https://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?sensor=false”
Out of all the above what can we fix.
There is a startup lag loading time of 1.86sec if you scroll down and look at the waterfall diagram(from Sweden server) which is certain that it is related to javascript
The host is lightning fast, so is there something we can tune to make it better?
Looking forward to your reply.
Regards,
Nik
August 16, 2016 at 11:20 am #287616Hi Nik,
Please install WP Super Cache as it’s a bit more simple to use. Combine that with the Autoptimize plugin and you should get a super fast site. Do not minify or combine your JS.
I’d also recommend a decent CDN, MaxCDN are decent or Cloudflare.
Thanks

The worst offender is: Appointment Booking

Server Waiting = Waiting for a response from the server.
1) Ask your host to enable gzip compression.
2) Install the Autoptimize plugin.Thanks.

2) Have you considered server your resources from a CDN such as MaxCDN?
3) You could test this plugin also to defer your JS loading, however depending on how agressivly it does this with the minification it could break some site elements: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-deferred-javascripts/.
4) Ask your host to enable gzip compression.
5) Install the WP Super Cache plugin.
Thanks.

For our demo’s/site we use WPEngine and they are blazing fast so I would certainly recommend them.
Thanks,

Thanks,
David. -
