I just purchased a new license for the Dante theme. My website was created by an outside firm that would not give us access to that information. I do not have access to the backend files to add the new purchase code to our site. I tried to re-install the theme, but since the file already exists, the upload keeps failing. How can I connect the website with the new theme account?

Are you trying to update the theme using an FTP?

1) Connect to your host via FTP.
2) Navigate to /wp-content/themes/
3) Drag the newly downloaded theme folder to your FTP and override the remote theme folder. You will likely be asked to confirm this override.

Is there a way to do it without using FTP? I don’t have access to the files…

Auto update fails so there is no way to update the theme without FTP.

I was able to access the FTP information and uploaded the new theme files. Is there anything else I need to do to connect the website to my new license code?

Hi. I purchased Dante and I have tried uploading via WordPress theme uploader and I have tried to upload it through FTP server, turns out it takes all day and doesn’t do anything. So I am confused with this theme. This never happened to me before and I have uploaded multiple themes and this is first time I have come across this problem.

Please someone get back to as soon as possible. I have build website using wordpress and have not had this issue. This is the first time.
