updates to swift page builder in flexform

Hi Swiftideas Team,

2 questions about swift page builder for flexform theme.

1) Will the page builder get updated to the newest version, like the version in DANTE or will it not continue to get updates as the page builder evolves?

2) is there any possibility adding the ability to choose page builder elements and “drag and drop” them directly in the actual location in the design, instead of all elements being placed at the bottom of the design page? This is currently a challenge for us, since we are laying out many large pages.

Hi there,

Thanks for your queries.

1) We do have some updates planned, however not past v1 of the Page Builder. v2 uses the bootstrap 3, and other functionality that Flexform doesn’t cater for.

2) We are looking into this possibility, and will hopefully have it working well soon!

A follow up question for you.

1 – if we decide to update to DANTE, from the current flexform theme, will our site and page designs transfer or would we have to go through page by page and update the page layouts since it’s using page builder V1?

Also a big thanks for looking into possibility of being able to drag page elements right into their destination on the page! Would save us lots of time.

Hi Kain,

1) Yes it would be pretty easy to update. There have been a few shortcode changes within the page builder, which would need re-adding or changing the shortcode through the text editor – but this wouldn’t take long at all.
