Thanks Ed, though I can’t seem to get it working.

I’ve tried both creating a child language folder and dropping the new en_US.po/mo in and also replacing them in the core theme language folder. Neither made a difference…string is still showing as correctly translated but not on front end. Am I missing something?

In POEdit, go to Catalog > Update from POT file, and then select the new en_US.po file. That will update the references.

ok, thanks again but still having no luck. i’m new to POEdit and am getting this error when opening the old en_US.po and updating to the new en_US.po:

it’s just not working for me! have opened the old en_US.po, updated to new en_US.po (ignored error message) and then tried:
– to add this directly to the theme’s language folder – didn’t work
– created a child theme language folder, added there – didn’t work
– uploaded new en_US.po via wpml string translation (making sure relevant strings were selected) – didn’t work

the strings are still showing as translated but front-end are not translated!
