    I built a site on my local computer using MAMP. Once I uploaded the site to the server, all the customization that I did through the theme options were lost and everything was reset to defaults.
    Is there anything I can do to avoid going through all of that again?

    Hi

    Did you do a full site transfer? For e.g. exporting the database then importing it on your server, then running the find and replace script to update the urls?

    Yes I did a full transfer. I uploaded the website files including the theme, child theme and plugins. I exported the database from my local site and updates all urls (localhost:8888 to mydomain.com). Once the database was imported, all site content was transferred correctly except for the theme options settings that reverted back to default.

    That’s strange, what you should do in future is export your theme options. You can do this in the theme options panel
