Is the Flexslider used for the testimonial slider? No matter what value I change there the TS speed doesn’t seem to change.

    Hi,

Did you change the value in Theme Options -> Carousel Options -> Slider Speed?

    Let us know,

    Thanks,

Yes I tried changing the settings in theme options/Carousel and Flexslider and there is no difference. Are you able to change it on your setup? If you are not able to change the slider speed please ask Ed to check it. I’m working on a local install so I can’t give you a link.

    Hi,

Open js/functions.js file and in line #1924 change this 6000 to your desired value. http://take.ms/pMb32

    6000 means 6 sec.

    Let us know,

    Thanks,
    laranz.

    Hi,

On my functions.js it is not line #1924 but #2005. Wouldn’t I have to copy the folder/file (js/functions.js) to my child theme so I don’t lose this setting when I update the theme?

Is this the only way to change this? It really should be tied to the Flexslider settings in the theme options.

The default setting is OK for the majority of my testimonials but there are a few that are long. I don’t think I want to change it to a higher setting for a few testimonials.

    The site is live now

    Hi,

You can’t override it from the child theme, I forward this to our development team to add that in the Theme Options.

    Let us know,

    Thanks,
    laranz.

    Hi Mike,

They should have taken the speeds from the theme options (General > Flexslider). I’ve just changed this, and will be including it in today’s update (2.02).

That’s odd – sometimes FTP can be a little off, shouldn’t be a theme issue though..
