    Usually on the catelog/shop page I have the option to choose how to sort the items in the shop drops down so I can sort by price or popularity but it won’t drop down at all on any shop related page.

    I have the following plugins installed: Remove admin bar

    But I do not think that’s it.
    I think there is something I may have checked off either in your theme neighborhood or woocommerce.

    In the attached screenshot it is just the highlighted portion.

    Please advise.

    In addition to my previous post:

    If I hover above the sort function and click in the white space above it then the sorting options will show up.

    I figured it out.

    Do the following:
    Theme options -> Header options -> Enable Head Overlay -> OFF
