Social icons hover color

Hello,

i’ve got a question here : Can i change the color of the social icons when hovered with my mouse.
Actually, they are light grey at the normal state and are turning dark grey on hover.
What i would want is to turn it to the accent color (for me lime green) on hover (please se attached). It will be more visible!!

does that possible and how to do it?

This will be a custom job but not a big one,

Currently the way it works is by having a list of the social icons in an image and it works by making the rest of them fade out and leaving the hovered one full opacity so it would mean changing the way it works.
