Reset to default setting and one question!

Hello, i’ve two question.
1- Sometime, without change to website, the setting of theme are restore to default setting. I’ dont be able to understan why. I resolve the problem with restore backup of the previous day. DO you know something about this strange thing?

2- Sure it’s a question about code and not the theme but i try to do a question.
I’ve child theme with some changed file. It’s all perfect with file under child root but i’m not able to make mod in the directory of theme.
( not speak english well, it’s a problem!)

1) There’s a reset options button at the bottom of the window, you might have clicked that instead of clicking save

2) Sorry I’m not sure what you mean? What are you trying to edit?
