post preview backround color

hello there. i have different categories for my posts. is it possible to set a backround color for each categorie for the post preview. that it looks like a boxed content?
i hope you will help me.

Can you provide us a mockup image with an example of how it looks in one of the posts preview?
So we can see if there is any easy css solution?

Add the code below to your custom css option and change the colors to the desired ones.

.blog-items > .category-der-weg-zum-onlinebusiness {
    background-color: #e2dfdf;
    padding: 20px!important;
}

.blog-items > .category-lifestyle-fitness-gesundheit {
    background-color: #22f;
    padding: 20px!important;
}

.blog-items > .category-reisen {
    background-color: #33f;
    padding: 20px!important;
}

.blog-items > .food-worldwide {
    background-color: #55a;
    padding: 20px!important;
}
