Portfolio: Filter adjustment

Dear Sir/Madam,

At the moment we are developing a new website based on WordPress with the Flexform theme. We love this theme, but now we have a question.

I’d like to replace the original Filter for our Portfolio. Instead of this original filter, I’d like to add some fixed HTML code for our navigation (it is not necessary to change this in the future, so fixed HTML code will be OK).

Can you explain me how I can remove the original filter (Filter our work) and how I can replace this with some HTML code?

This would be editing the core files of the theme, you could just add html into the wp editor?
