    So I installed the child theme to figure out the pixelated iPhone image problem. Once the child theme was installed all the portfolio item page became 404 ERROR pages.

    So whats’ going on.

    Can this be fixed? or am I rebuilding all these pages.

    The pages themselves are intact. You can still click and edit them, but when you go to view they show error 404

    and when you inspect the page code, the CSS code is still there.

    it was permalinks

    Hi,

    Random 404’s suddenly appearing in WP are almost certainly always because of this. As you discovered, re-saving the permalinks is the solution.
