mobile gallery/portfolio: 1st click for hover – 2nd click for link

Hi!

I have a question for the mobile view on iphone or tablet:
Is it possible to click 2 times on a gallery/portfolio thumb to open the link?
1st click should show the hover effect with headline/description
2nd click should open the gallery/portfolio detail page.

Now I have no chance to see the hover (headline/description) behind the thumb.

Is there maybe a soulution with css?

Hi,

I’m afraid that’s not possible because those events(double click) don’t exist in Mobile. It only exist the touch, drag, swipe.

To show the hover effect try to press without releasing the screen.

There you can read the headline after click on the thumb.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for the request, this needs some custom JS to first detect that the thumbnail has “been hovered” – before allowing the click action to occur.

I’ll see what we can do to add this as a theme option in the next update.
