Missing meta descriptions?

Hi

Google is able to extract meta descriptions OK from our website. Though it’s annoying that no meta description is set by default for URLs on our site. Why is that?

Check out this product for example: http://rejsegear.dk/epic-explorer-sort-kabinekuffert/

There’s no meta description for it. Only if I manually create one through Yoast SEO plugin.

Wocommerce plugin cant add the meta description automatically. You need to use the Yaost SEO plugin.

Can I create an automatic meta description? Like say I’d like my Short Description to be the assigned meta description? Instead of just letting Google pick whatever first HTML they find.

Hi,

Please contact YOAST support, I think they have variable called %%excerpt%% that you should be able to add to your YOAST settings.

%%excerpt%% == Replaced with the post/page excerpt (or auto-generated if it does not exist)
