Meta – Thumbnail – Image

Hi Guys,

So the problem is..
I’m using: portfolio carousel + portfolio gallery as a showcase under my portfolio projects.
Till now, for me was not a problem to upload any image, and everything was working correctly, as I could see the& fine automatic re-sizing for those sectors, but since I got the AWS (amazong S3) switch to the links, the Thumbnails are not working correctly anymore.

At the moment I’m “covering” the situation, by making my own thumbs, but that is not an option for me as I like the masonry effect on my home and category pages.

What do you mean since you got Amazon S3? Do you mean you no longer upload the images to the WordPress Media Library? If not then that is why, the resize script can only run on images uploaded to the server

Yes, that is exactly what I’m doing.

It’s impossible, the resize script uses images upload, and makes new version of them with the dimensions set in the theme files. It’s not possible for it to use an external source, resize it and upload back to the external source.

Hi Kyle.

I’m having the same issue when using an S3 bucket. Everything works fine, except thumbnails don’t get rendered when viewing the blog.

All sizes are getting uploaded to the bucket in my case but the thumbnails just don’t get to appear anywhere on the site.

Unfortunately I’m on a local development server for the time being so can’t give you an URL.

Any ideas? Thank you.
