An internal server error 500 means that something went wrong in the server and that the process crashed. The server should log this situations so we can know the reason of that 500 error. An it’s suppose that your hosting know if the logs are active and where they are.
This means that the server is not properly setup, but that isn’t our responsibility. We can’t suggest anything else without further info about that error.
If they can’t figure it, then IMO it’s better to start this project in a different hosting provider.
