Thank you for the great theme.
I am adding gallery to a post using ‘add media’ button right above the text editor. Gallery was added to the posts but the lightbox didn’t show the pictures in them. Just opaque background with x button on top right corner.
Am I doing something wrong?

April 21, 2013 at 5:53 pm #2353I also have experienced this problem today as was just going to post the same question.
April 22, 2013 at 7:56 pm #2480Hi,
Your gallery items are linking to their attachment page. You need to edit the gallery and set them to link to the media file, that’s the only way a lightbox will work.

Support AssistantApril 22, 2013 at 8:15 pm #2492Hi,
Thank you for the reply. But could you explain how to link them to media file?
I have tried these and both gave me the same result. No image in the light box.
I. Add Media -> Create Gallery -> Select Images -> Create a new gallery (button on the right bottom) -> Gallery Settings Links to ‘Media File’ -> Insert gallery
II. Add Media -> Create Gallery -> Select Images -> Create a new gallery (button on the right bottom) -> Gallery Settings Links to ‘Attachment Page’ -> Insert gallery
April 22, 2013 at 8:18 pm #2495It should be 1)
Try doing that, update the page and let me know so I can check.

I updated the page and you can check.. But it looks like still linking to attachments files even though I used 1 method.

Support AssistantApril 22, 2013 at 8:29 pm #2504Same problem for me. I can’t event get lightbox to work for single images either, and yes, they are Link to Media File
(borams sorry for hijacking your thread)
April 22, 2013 at 8:41 pm #2516I think it’s a bug or maybe just my site. It will set as attachment even though I set as media file on initial creation. But if I edit the gallery setting to “attachment file” and save and change back to “media file” and save using edit icon in the gallery. It will show the image in the lightbox.
It will solve the problem for me. If it’s a bug in the theme, it would be nice to get it fixed in next update.
@ritchmedia no problem. Try the above method, it may solve your problem too.
@Cosmin I will privately reply for my login, so you can take a look.Is there a way to customize the lightbox? I want to add at least the next and previous icon on the lightbox.
April 22, 2013 at 8:42 pm #2518This reply has been marked as private.April 22, 2013 at 8:56 pm #2527@borams Yes, that seems to work. It’s not right though – there must be a bug somewhere
April 23, 2013 at 8:52 am #2598I replaced the existing code with this
“[gallery itemtag="div" link="file" columns="4"]”
That worked for me however users cant move to the next image
April 23, 2013 at 7:58 pm #2660Hey guys,
Try using the shortcode as it’s written just above. The theme doesn’t alter anything with regards to the WordPress default gallery, but maybe when you set it to link to the media file, it doesn’t update properly.
