Image quality in Product page (Atelier)

Hello,

Please, I have a question concerning the image quality in the product page (Atelier).

I disabled the zoom effect, and also the magnifier icon (via css). But now I have a bad quality image in the product page. I know the image quality gets better in the zoomed area and in the Lightbox, but I don’t want to use these features.

Is it possible to keep the original image quality in the product page?

Yes, it works when you have only one image format. If you send an image with a different ratio, the bad quality returns.
As I have more than one photo format, should I use images with a white border to complete the configured area?
