    Inserting an image gallery in a text block using “add media”.  All seems ok but on the front end when an image is clicked the gallery window opens but not images, no thumbnails etc.  It’s just an empty gallery window.

    Make sure you have the gallery set to link to the file, not attachment page.

    This is a WordPress issue, many people have started having it.

    Switch to text view (classic editor) and make sure the gallery shortcode looks something like this:

    [gallery ids="..." link="file"]

    link=”file” is the important part.
