Image Compression and Optimization

My site’s loading pretty slow. I’ve gotten Minify and WP Super Cache after searching forums (very helpful, but not there yet).

Now I’m told I should fix:

– Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content
– Leverage browser caching
– Optimize images

… And should consider fixing:

– Enable compression
– Minify JavaScript
– Minify HTML

Recommendations for these issues? Do you guys recommend an image optimizer? Or, have a means for compressing without losing quality?

You can try EWWW Image Optimizer. It worked great for me. The only downside was I had to re-attach site favicons after they were optimised, but this is a very quick job.

For me the site gets good score here: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/ the only problem I found is server response time, it is higher than usual, if you reduce that the site will load as fast as possible. For minify you can try “Better WordPress Minify” plugin.
